The Sr. Sales Representative role, based in Saskatchewan, is responsible for the achievement of an annual sales target and profit goals within their assigned territory. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be able to identify market opportunities and create plans to maintain their existing customer base and help grow the market share in the region. They will be responsible for making sales calls on electrical distributor partners and authorized agents to maintain existing business relationships and pursue incremental sales opportunities. Will promote LEDVANCE LTD products with channel partners, industry stakeholders and end users and in doing so they will maintain high visibility for LEDVANCE LTD within the southern Ontario market.
The individual should be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently, target new business, follow up on sales leads, and close the sale, and should be comfortable calling on and presenting people from senior level executives down to field-level operatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for selectively growing LEDVANCE’s market share with Sylvania-branded products while maximizing profitability. Duties include managing a sales territory, analyzing and acting on business opportunities to increase sales and profit thus achieving/exceeding territory budgeted sales objectives. Other duties include gathering accurate market intelligence and providing value-added solutions for customers.
The position requires a self-motivated individual who can operate independently but can also work collaboratively with other organizational resources. The position also calls for excellent organizational and computer skills and a sales closer mentality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Develop, execute, and deliver business plans to achieve their territory target.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop and implement sales and marketing programs for our channel sales business.
- Provide pricing/proposals for projects for retrofit or new business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers.
- Schedule regular review meetings with clients to exceed mutual targets & expectations.
- Ensure that the Salesforce.com pipelines meet or exceed the territory requirements to deliver the expected and committed revenue number.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years lighting selling experience.
- Bachelor’s degree/college diploma a must.
- Lighting Certification an asset.
- Knowledge of lighting industry, electrical distribution, and the lighting market.
- Salesforce.com experience is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required, and SAP experience would be desirable.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Position is home based and the selected candidate needs to reside in the territory.
- Compensation range is $75,000 - 95,000 CAD base salary, plus bonus and fleet vehicle.

LEDVANCE has a new position for a person looking to manage a product portfolio comprised of Fluorescent Tubes and Architectural LED Luminaires. LEDVANCE is currently in this space and is seeking individuals looking to join a growing team working with both the retail [residential] and commercial [professional] lighting channels. This position will be located in our Americas headquarters in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Position Responsibilities:
- Identify and define the product portfolio strategy for Fluorescent Tubes and Architectural LED Luminaires. Manage the product portfolio from “cradle to grave” in particular product phase in and phase out
- Be an integral component of the Product Introduction Team (cross-functional internal team) comprised of non-reporting but critical groups to new launches
- Undertake market research to ascertain purchase intent, trends and future direction
- Become internal expert and benchmark portfolio relative to technical, financial and market
- Create and articulate the product’s reason to buy and end-customer purchase strategy
- Communicate product and portfolio graphic strategy within defined brand parameters
- Develop internal and external sale proposition for the portfolio along with Sales and Marketing
- Own the product development, targeted channel/segment launch and inventory position
- Fully-embrace sales budget, margin and profit targets and product forecasting
- Travel domestic and international as product representative to accounts and production locales
- Work independently, report status on goals/targets to management yet align with larger group
- Write and clearly give presentations to management team and customers articulating product strategy
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited university
- Fully fluent in spoken and written English
- 5 years’ experience in product management required
- Deep understanding of retail and/or commercial business
- Previous, documented experience in working with a cross-functional team
- Knowledge of SAP and Business Warehouse reporting systems a plus
- Familiarity with fluorescent lighting technology is a must. LED and/or Lighting a positive
