SUMMARY:
  • The Regional Business Development Manager/Key Accounts Manager is responsible for
  • driving sales of high efficiency commercial lighting products and EV chargers, Energy Services Companies (ESCOs) and Lighting Maintenance Companies (LMCs) and strategic end user accounts located in the Midwest US. Strong focus not on maintaining existing business, but rather on uncovering and growing new business opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of facility services projects and utility rebate incentive programs, and will be knowledgeable in commercial lighting technology. The position will be in home office-based, located in the Midwest United States.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Develop strong relationships with targeted strategic end users, ESCOs and LMCs to grow market share; plan, develop and execute detailed strategies to grow sales
  • Regularly engage and train targeted strategic end users, ESCOs and LMCs with a focus on selling LED products, lighting controls, and EV chargers
  • Create, maintain, track, and review all project opportunities with targeted accounts through a CRM tool (salesforce.com)
  • Promptly articulate customer opportunities and needs to the LEDVANCE management team and other internal stakeholders; involve cross-functional internal and external teams as necessary to achieve goals
  • Work effectively with all buying influences and internal company resources to drive win-win solutions incorporating all LED lighting, control and EV charger products
  • Understand competitive product offerings, solicit customer and market needs, and elevate opportunities for potential LEDVANCE product line expansions to grow share

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience calling on strategic end user accounts and ESCOs including a thorough understanding of regional utility incentive programs
  • Solid knowledge of LED lighting and controls products; Lighting Certification (LC) is a plus
  • Working experience with electrical and lighting distributors who sell to and service strategic end users and ESCOs
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills – attention to detail, follow up and execution
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and effectively to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Ability to work with functional groups and different level of employees throughout the LEDVANCE organization to effectively and professionally achieve business results
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with both internal and external customers, from sales employees, project managers, and facilities personnel to C-level executives

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree completed or in-process with regular progress; additional degree(s) desirable, LC certification desirable
  • 7-10 years of sales experience, within the electrical industry – LED Lighting, Lighting Controls, EV Chargers

ENVIRONMENT:
  • Valid driver’s license and able travel unassisted and without restrictions
  • Position requires 50-75% regional travel
  • Position will work from a remote home office when not traveling
