The Product Group Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing a complex multi-million dollar portfolio and positioning it for maximum profitability and market share within the industry. The selected candidate will need to drive business development and support activities within a matrix organization. The candidate will interface with key customer accounts in conjunction with dedicated sales teams to gain new customers, grow market share, and work with multiple sales representatives to manage the expectations and needs of the current customer base. The United States and Canada’s Thermal portfolio is one of the largest and most complex product lines within Sylvania and has a significant and measurable impact on the overall success of the business. 1) To actively manage the current and future product portfolio for LEDr and LED Smart Products that are to be sold by the LEDVANCE organization. The Product Management role will include the close coordination with the Sales and Marketing organization in order to develop a market competitive portfolio. Responsibilities will include direct interface with our Customer and the Trade & Retail Marketing team and Sales Managers to increase our sales volume. Close working relationship with the Sales organization is required to ensure an up to date and market competitive Product Portfolio. This position also requires internal and external company relationship building (Controlling, R&D, Channel Marketing, Supply Chain, Packaging) and influencing our Customer partners to ensure LEDVANCE gets the highest allocation possible (i.e. share of wallet) at our customers. 2) The Product Manager will be responsible to develop a go to market strategy, developing marketing materials for field sales, working with Channel Marketing team to communicate product specifications and developing storyboards on market advantages of our products and LEDVANCE / Sylvania brand. They will deliver the VOC back into the product development cycle and ensure that we have a market leading product portfolio. The objective it manage a Product Portfolio for the region Americas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Manage the LEDr Portfolio that includes our highest volume LED lamps sold in the Retail / Trade Channel. • Develop a Product / Sales Strategy for our high volume LEDr Lamps that will allow us maximize our Technical Product advantages and achieve competitive advantages in the market place • Develop a Product / Sales Strategy for the LED Smart Segment (Bluetooth / WiFi) that will allow us to gain Market Share in this highly competitive and dynamic segment. • Develop and manage the Product Roadmaps for the USC region • Actively manage the Phase in Phase Out Product cycle, incl impact of Legislative and DOE rulings on the Portfolio • Grow the Sales Program within the Trade and Retail Channel of the product portfolio • Create customer ready sales presentations for Trade and Retail channels • Support overall channel goals and objectives through the sales teams • Develop and present product specifications, market trends/competitiveness, and value proposition to the sales team • Develop relationship with Internal stakeholders to effectively achieve objectives • Understand the market dynamics and help deliver Voice Of Customer (VOC) in order to develop relevant products and product improvements that are required by our Trade and Retail Customers • Personally engage with customers to establish strong relationships incl to manage key account interaction with Google, Amazon, Apple • Understand and communicate technical issues and enhancements from customers back to product management and supplier • Perform strategic win / loss analysis to help optimize sales execution and drive product improvement and developments • 30% Travel and external customer facing time required
